MTC grows national retail network to 42 MobileHomes

MTC Namibia has increased its national customer service network to 42 MobileHomes with the opening of a new outlet in Kuisebmund, Walvis Bay, as the company continues to expand its physical presence across Namibia.

The new Kuisebmund outlet becomes MTC’s third customer service point in Walvis Bay and the first MobileHome located in the Kuisebmund community.

MTC said the expansion is aimed at improving access to telecommunications and digital services as populations and demand for connectivity continue to grow in different parts of the country.

MTC General Manager for Sales, Enterprise and CRM Elton Katangolo said the Kuisebmund outlet was established in response to growing demand in Walvis Bay and the need to reduce the distance customers travel to access services.

“Walvis Bay continues to grow, and with that growth comes the need for reliable, accessible and convenient customer service points,” Katangolo said.

“The opening of our Kuisebmund MobileHome ensures that customers in this community can access MTC services closer to where they live.”

Customers will be able to access SIM registration and replacement, account-related services, prepaid and postpaid products, mobile data services, device purchases and MTC Maris digital financial services at the outlet.

The latest opening follows the establishment of a new MobileHome at Okongo in the Ohangwena Region earlier this year, while MTC recently upgraded its temporary container facility at Okuryangava in Windhoek to a permanent outlet.

The telecommunications company is also considering further expansion during its 2027 financial year, with new outlets earmarked for Omaruru and Otjinene, while a potential outlet in Outjo is under consideration.

The planned expansion could take MTC’s physical customer service network beyond its current 42 MobileHomes as the company increases its presence in underserved and growing communities.
