Erongo RED has intensified its digital transformation drive with the launch of a new corporate website featuring AI-powered customer support and real-time online services aimed at improving engagement with consumers and stakeholders.

The utility relaunched the platform in partnership with Green Enterprise Solutions as part of efforts to modernise customer interaction and strengthen access to information through digital channels.

The new platform replaces Erongo RED’s previous website developed in 2015 and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience through technology.

Erongo RED Chief Executive Officer Immanuel !Hanabeb said the website is a strategic platform supporting the utility’s evolving role within the energy sector.

“Our new website is not merely a refreshed digital presence. It is a strategic platform that supports our role in the energy value chain and strengthens how we interact with the various stakeholders and customers we serve,” he said.

The upgraded website includes an AI-powered chatbot offering 24-hour automated assistance, while interactive e-forms allow customers to submit applications and enquiries online in real time.

Customers can also access electricity tariffs, outage notifications, procurement opportunities, vacancies, customer support services and corporate information through the platform.

The website further provides direct access to the Erongo RED mobile application, enabling customers to access selected services and information from their mobile devices.

!Hanabeb said the launch forms part of a broader digital transformation programme already underway at the utility.

“Over recent years, we have implemented several digital solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer experience,” he said.

Green Enterprise Solutions Head of Project Management Bro-Mathew Niikondo said the project demonstrated the role of local ICT expertise in delivering scalable digital solutions.

“This project showcases what happens when organisations work collaboratively with experts. Erongo RED’s new web environment delivers secure, innovative, and sustainable digital solutions that better serve its stakeholders and communities,” he said.

The agreement includes the design and development of the platform as well as a three-year hosting, maintenance and support arrangement.

Erongo RED said the development process involved stakeholder consultations, iterative feedback and user acceptance testing to ensure the platform aligned with operational and customer requirements.

The utility said the relaunch reflects its continued investment in digital platforms aimed at supporting efficient service delivery and transparent communication.
