V5 Digital launches First Fridays to enable Namibian businesses lead the AI era.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape industries across the globe, Namibian businesses are increasingly recognising the need to move beyond curiosity and begin preparing for a future in which AI will fundamentally influence how organisations operate, compete and grow.

To help business leaders navigate this rapidly evolving landscape, V5 Digital has launched First Fridays, a new monthly executive breakfast series designed to create a trusted platform for practical conversations about Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation and business leadership.

The inaugural event will take place on Friday, 7 August 2026, at The Opera House, The Village, Windhoek, bringing together executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and decision-makers from across the country.

Unlike traditional conferences or highly technical seminars, First Fridays has been designed as an executive conversation – one where leaders can openly discuss opportunities, challenges and practical applications of AI in a collaborative and business-focused environment.

“Artificial Intelligence is no longer a conversation for the future – it is already reshaping the way organisations make decisions, serve customers and create value,” says Armin Wieland, Founder of V5 Digital.

“Many business leaders understand that AI will impact their organisations, but they are still asking practical questions. Where do we begin? What does this mean for our business? How do we adopt AI responsibly? First Fridays was created to provide a trusted space where leaders can explore those questions together.”

The initiative reflects V5 Digital’s belief that successful digital transformation is not driven by technology alone, but by leadership, continuous learning and collaboration.

Each monthly edition will focus on a relevant business theme, offering practical insights from industry experts, interactive discussion and meaningful networking opportunities.

The launch edition, themed “The 4-Hour Fix: Practical Ways to Delegate Your Boring Work to AI Today.”, will explore how Artificial Intelligence is changing the way organisations are discovered, trusted and selected by customers in an increasingly digital marketplace.

According to Wieland, First Fridays is not intended to be another networking event.

“Our ambition is to build a community of leaders who are committed to learning, sharing ideas and preparing their organisations for the future. The conversations that begin over breakfast should continue long after the event has ended.”

Beyond the monthly gatherings, insights from each session will be amplified through thought leadership articles, executive interviews, media engagement, video content and educational resources, ensuring that the conversations reach a broader business audience.

The initiative also complements V5 Digital’s wider mission of helping organisations move confidently from digital strategy to practical implementation through advisory services, capability development and the V5 Digital AI Academy.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to redefine the competitive landscape, V5 Digital believes that organisations willing to learn, adapt and collaborate will be best positioned to thrive.

“The future won’t be shaped by organisations that simply adopt new technology,” says Wieland. “It will be shaped by leaders who are willing to learn continuously, ask better questions and prepare their people for meaningful change. That’s exactly what First Fridays is about.”

Business leaders interested in attending the inaugural First Fridays are encouraged to register early, as attendance will be limited to facilitate meaningful discussion and networking.
